New service available at Lympia car park

The company Stiilt has selected Lympia car park in the port of Nice to launch its smart vehicle rental service.

A cross between car-sharing (such as Auto Bleue in Nice) and traditional car rental, STIILT provides a smart vehicle rental service on request, via a mobile app launched in early November 2018.

Lympia car park in the port of Nice hosts the first fleet of vehicles

“More and more alternatives are being offered to help city dwellers dispense with a car, but until now, there was no other option in Nice for people who have opted to be car-free but still want to enjoy freedom to travel at weekends or on holiday, with as few constraints as possible,” explains Antony Novarese, co-founder of the startup Stiilt.

“We chose Lympia car park in the port of Nice to park our first fleet of vehicles because of its strategic location in the city. Our target: urban and city dwellers,” Anthony adds.

How does it work?

Customers first need to download the Stiilt app onto their mobile (IOS version already available, Android version to be developed during 1st quarter 2019).

After creating an account, they can select their rental in just a few steps. The vehicles - Audis - can be rented by half-day or full day. They can be booked several months in advance or at the last minute. Everything is organised remotely, which is why the service is available 24/7.

Strategic focus on innovative technology

After accepting the rental via the app, customers receive a message that allows them to download their digital key onto their mobile. Another message recaps all the details of the rental agreement (parking space within the car park, number plate, etc.). All they have to do is go to Lympia car park to pick up their vehicle.

The app also offers customer support in the form of a chat, available 24 hours a day.

What next?

“We’re aiming to grow our fleet and broaden our parking spots throughout Nice as of 2019, focusing on secure underground public car parks and the car parks of 3- and 4-star hotels,” summarises Antony Novarese, “and from there we hope to extend our development to Cannes and/or Lyon... It all hinges on our current capital raising exercise.”
